Why To Take A Helicopter To The Grand Canyon?

This 4.5-hour tour (hotel to hotel) is a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend the Mustang Helicopter Free Spirit over other bus/car day trips which can be up to 15-hour tours.

The bus picks you up from the hotel and takes you to the airport. The helicopter departed at 2 pm with 6 passengers on board.

After flying over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and Fortification Hill we arrived at the Grand Canyon. 

We rapidly descended 3,500 feet into the heart of the canyon. We had a champagne picnic 300 feet above the Colorado River. Several steep red rock cliffs surrounded us and I could notice the changing shades as the sunset. 

The route back to Las Vegas was different, with another stop to refuel. This quick stop was in the middle of the desert with not much except Joshua Trees.
