2 Best Fine Dining Experiences In Istanbul

One of our favourite things to do on our travels is to experience the local cuisine. If you want to treat yourself to an unforgettable dining experience, we highly recommend these 2 restaurants.

Lokanta

Above the Hammam is an excellent 2 storey restaurant called Lokanta restaurant. We had one of the most incredible lunches here after the hammam. We got an amazing table on the beautiful rooftop terrace next to the Hammam Dome. Our meal included several traditional Turkish appetizers with sensational flavours. It is also known for cocktails and we highly recommend you order the 17:41. The waiter was so friendly and the way he explained the food and the cocktails was fascinating.

Neolokal

A fine dining restaurant located near to the Galata Tower. The view we had from the rooftop terrace must be one of the best dining views in Istanbul. We watched the sun set and enjoyed the delicious set menu. All of our 5 dishes were beautifully designed like pieces of art. The taste of the dishes come from the past but are presented in a modern way. The service was exceptional and they gave us a taste of some wines to help us decide on a bottle.
